This is my first blog entry, EVER.  I will just start off by saying that the main goal of this blog will be to draw attention to the things that mean the most to me as an author and guide, and to you; as my readers and fans.  I am still learning to navigate around the world of online social media and networking.  With that being said, this blog will probably start off as nothing special, but with the relentless yearning to learn, I will hope to become a better blogger each time I create a post.

As for my true passion and dedication, this resides within my writing and my love for children and the world around us.  I have been a nanny/caretaker for the past 10 years since graduating from Rutgers University in 2003.  From time to time, I will mention dear old Rutgers, not only because was it such a profound college, but the campus itself proved to be quite inspirational.  I found it to be historically impeccable and the atmosphere was addicting.  From the smell of the Greece trucks with their fat cats and fat moons, to the chic little coffee shops and student centers where I often found myself many late nights, warring away at my studies.  If I wasn't there, I was huddled under a tree, in awe at the structure of the buildings which were rooted 245 years ago.

Now that you have an idea of where I earned my degree in, ahhh yes!  English!  I can better serve you as a mentor, teacher, author and guide.  At least that is what my degree entitles me to be=)  But isn't this what blogs are made for?  To speak what is on your mind?  Even if it's not always grammatically correct.  The one thing that I will always be true to; well there are a few things.  But the most important thing is my main focus which is on the growth of one's endless mind and inevitably; their soul.  With that growth comes the passion to succeed.  And with that passion to succeed comes perseverance.  And with that perseverance, the two previous eventually meet in the middle.  Your passion will eventually grow into success.  Some of us know this, but for those who do not, you must dedicate true hard time into anything you really want in life.  I have learned this through my own strife in trying to become a beloved children's book author.  And my love for both children and writing will continue to feed the drive within myself.

At the end of the day, if I have encouraged just one person, or one child, to always be true to themselves, but to still have the hard work and dedication that it takes to succeed, then my job at the end of the day is done.  And then I get to continue onto my 2nd job, which is to network with all of you wonderful people so that I can share with you all of the refreshing rewards that comes from taking your passion and making it a full-time job.  I must always remember that even though I am a writer and a mentor, I am also a person.  A person that is human, and therefore, represents the millions and millions of pieces that make up the humanity that exists in this vast world.

I think I've blogged a bit much here.  I'm sure this will happen from time to time.  But when you have a lot to say, and you have a lot of knowledge to pass on, then this proves not only be educational, but hopefully, inspirational!
